Liptzin, Solomon

(b. 1901)
   Israeli literary scholar. He was born in Satanov, Russia, and taken to the US at an early age. He was professor of German at City College, New York. Later he settled in Israel. His writings include Peretz, Eliakum Zunser, The Flower of Yiddish Literature, The Maturing of Yiddish Literature and The Jew in American Literature.
